In light of the upcoming 40th Anniversary of the formation of Rawdons (is it really that long? Is it really only that long?) I checked through my box of old photos to see if I'd missed any, and found a couple more:
Here I am, in classic musketeer "casual" kit.
(the moustache and beard are fake, btw)
Val Skipper, back in the happy days before "The Split".
Whitehall, me on Archie No-brakes, worst behaved pony in Mrs B's herd.
(Clearly, at this point I was riding for Grenville's)
Awfully proud to be riding at Whitehall.
Behind me are Alex (daughter of Jill) and Paddy (properly speaking, a Winchester) and I can't remember the name of the guy in light blue. I don't think he was a regular member.
A banquet, somewhere: this was the year I cut my hair short for a job, and regretted it immediately. The job didn't last long, but at least my hair grew back.
The chap to my left is Tony, my NZ boyfriend of that time: I don't actually recognise anyone else in the photo!!
If you do, please let me know and I'll annotate.
Mucking about pre-banquet: Sarah bravely (and somewhat misguidedly) man-handling Nigel, who is man-handling himself: Me, apparently being Above It All, then Jo Swift in one of my spare frocks, looking lovely.
Same day, same banquet, Berry posing in her frock, pity the quality of the photo is so poor, sorry!
That jelly party in Nottingham again.
Oh dear, I have my finger up my nose.
So mature.
"Thank god, we've found a pub that will serve us!"
A fun day out with Grenvile's regiment, it was some sort of carnival parade in London, no idea why we did it, but we only had half a dozen horses so most of us had to walk.
This photo shows me, Nev (Ginevra) from RG's, Ellie White from BG's, and in front is Jill, stalwart of RG's, probably the first time I ever saw her in a frock!
Sarah Speight kindly modelling an outfit I'd made, so that I'd have a photo of it before it went off to the new owner.
